I haven’t played Modern Warfare 2 in any capacity; but just from all the buzz (it’s not strong enough to make the gaming community drunk) in podcasts and posts, it fell flat for everyone.

I’d like to see someone add a heart-tugging scene to a game, but “No Russian” is like adding a verbatim MacBeth scene to a Jack Black movie: nobody is watching for deep, personal prose; they want to see some fat guy make faces and play air guitar.

Maybe the level should have been called “Close, But No Cigar”

I couldn’t find a way to work this into the post, but I just got the impression that the whole thing was designed by and for d00ds that read Maxim and would think that it was teh cool3st part of the game.
